Senior Division
1st Place:
Liam Guerrero
Cello

Cello Concerto, Mvt. 4 (E. Elgar)
​
Liam Guerrero is a sophomore cellist at Clark High School with a profound passion for music performance. Since beginning his cello journey in 2018, he now studies under Robin Reinarz and honed his skills as a proud member of the Clark HS Advanced and Chamber Orchestra. Liam’s dedication has earned him notable accomplishments, including first place in the 2024 Legacy Competition and winning Command Performance recognition at Nevada’s 2025 All-State. Inspired by the likes of classical and pop music, he aspires to craft a future blending the artistry of music writing with the excitement of live performance.

Andrew Soberano
Guitar

Concerto No. 1 for Guitar and Orchestra, Mvt. 1 (M. Castelnuovo-Tedesco)
​
Andrew Soberano is a sophomore and performs with the Southern Nevada Homeschool Performing Arts' chamber, orchestra, and guitar programs, as well as the LVYO Philharmonic, Nevada Chamber Orchestra, and WCTA Orchestra under Dr. Gregory Maldonado. Andrew’s additional ensemble experiences include the NMEA All-State High School Guitar and NMEA All-State Orchestra, the Honor Orchestra of Nevada, and the CCSD Orchestra Festival. He has placed first in the Silver State and OPUS State competitions, received honorable mentions in the MTNA Senior Strings Competition and LVYO’s Annual Concerto Competition, and competed in the Guitar Foundation of America’s International Youth Competition. Andrew has earned six superiors in NMEA Solo & Ensemble for guitar, viola, and duets, with a guitar performance qualifying him for All-State Command. He studies viola with Ivie Etkins-Turner and guitar with Kasey Carmody.

Brennan Fischl
Clarinet

Clarinet Concerto No. 2 in F Minor ( B.H. Crussel)​
​
​Brennan Fischl is a sophomore clarinetist, soloist, and chamber musician at Las Vegas Academy of the Arts. He has been playing clarinet for about 5 years, and studies with Dr. Bryan Conger at UNLV. He serves as the principal clarinet of the Las Vegas Academy Philharmonic Orchestra and Top Wind Ensemble. Additionally, he has won 1st prize in the 2023 Henderson Symphony Orchestra Young Artists Competition, 2nd place in the 2024 Young Artists Orchestra Carol Jackson Concerto Competition, and performed for the likes of Anthony McGill, principal clarinetist of the New York Philharmonic. He greatly aspires to have a professional career as an orchestral, solo, and chamber musician in the future.​​​​​

Brandon Evans

Piano Concerto No.1 in G Minor, Mvt. 1 (F. Mendelssohn) ​
Brandon Evans is a 7th grade Owl of Odyssey Charter School student who proudly resides in Henderson, Nevada. He is a passionate musician who recently won first place in the Las Vegas Music Teachers' Association Silver State Competition. The journey began two years ago when Brandon taught himself how to play pieces like Fantasie Impromptu through YouTube on a 76-key Yamaha keyboard. Brandon has had nine months of formal piano training under the instruction of Dr. Alexandria Le. He attended a summer at the Palmetto International Piano Festival under a scholarship with an invitation to return for the summer of 2025.

Stella Lee
Violin
​
Violín Concerto in E Minor, Op. 64 (F. Mendelsshon)

Stella Lee is a 14-yr-old 9th grader in the Biomedical Sciences Program at West Career and Technical Academy. As a dedicated musician and student, she has been playing the violin since the age of three under the tutelage of renowned instructor Ms. Mary Straub.
Stella has been a member of the Clark County School District Honor Orchestra for the past four years and has won numerous competitions, including the Las Vegas Silver State, Legacy, MTNA, and Bushell. She has consistently earned superior ratings at NMEA’s Solo & Ensemble Festival and has served as the concertmaster for the Hyde Park Middle School Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Ms. Waverly Tingle and the 2023 CCSD Honor Orchestra. Currently, she plays in the WCTA Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Gregory Maldonado and has also performed as one of the youngest violinists with the Nevada Chamber Orchestra.
3rd Place:
Janice Kim
Piano

Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor (W.A. Mozart)​​​
Janice Kim is the First Place winner of the 2023 New York International Music Competition and as a winner of competition, in January 2024, Janice performed at Carnegie Hall.
She has won prize in several local and International competitions including First Place at the California Satori Competition, Silver State Competition, First Place of the Barum International Competition. She received 2 times ‘Award of Merit in Music’ from IUSD(Irvine Unified School District) in 2022 and 2023. She is currently a student of Kailey Kim.
